Course: Microsoft Practical

 

Course Description

This course is a supplement to any and all of the Windows Networking courses. This provides additional time to complete or redo any lab work, tests, or to prepare for the certification exams for those students who require additional time and help. Assignments/preparation for certification exams will be given as needed and will be individually tailored for each student.

 

Certificate

Completion of this course certifies proficient windows networking skills based on a score of 80% or higher on competency exams or other material as identified by the instructor. A Recognition of Training Certificate is available upon request.

 

This course is not required by any Information Technologies Programs.

 

Course Structure

This is a competency-based course offered in open-entry/open-exit format in two Modules:

     •   Desktop Systems

     •   Server Systems

 

Course Length

The estimated length of this course is 60 hours. Both Modules are 30 hours each.  Actual course length will depend upon your schedule and your ability to master the subject material.

 

Admission Requirements

Successful completion of any of the following courses is recommended prior to taking this course:

     •   Administering a Windows Network Infrastructure

     •   Administering SQL Server

     •   Administering Windows Directory Services

     •   Administering Windows Desktop

     •   Administering Windows Server

     •   Designing Security for a Windows Network

     •   Designing Windows Network Infrastructure

     •   Managing a Windows Network Environment

Tuition and Fees

Tuition is based on the number of enrolled classroom hours. High school students are exempt from tuition, but are responsible for course and program fees and the cost of textbooks.
