Course: A+ Essentials (2009 – Computer Based Training)

 

Course Description

The CompTIA A+ Essentials exam (220-701) measures the necessary competencies of an entry-level IT professional. It tests for the fundamentals of computer technology, networking and security, as well as basic operating system functionality, troubleshooting, and safety procedures. Communication skills and professionalism are also tested in the exam.

 

Certificate

Completion of this course certifies proficient hardware and operating system configuration skills based on a score of 80% or higher on competency exams or other material as identified by the instructor. A Recognition of Training Certificate is available upon request.

 

This course fulfills requirements for the following Programs:

     •   Computer Upgrade and Repair Technician (A+)

     •   Networking Technician (Net+)

     •   Network Associate (MCTS)

     •   Network Administrator (MCITP)

Course Structure

Tuition is based on the number of enrolled classroom hours. High school students are exempt from tuition, but are responsible for course and program fees and the cost of textbooks.
