Course: Intro to Clinical Medical Assisting
Course Description
This course provides the student with an overview of the medical assistant profession and its role in the health care environment.
Certificate
Completion of this course certifies proficient understanding of basic concepts and procedures for clinical medical assisting based on a score of 80% or higher on competency exams. A Certificate of Skill Competence is available upon request.

• Medical Office Laboratory Technician
• Phlebotomy Technician

This is a competency-based course offered in open-entry/open-exit format.

There are no specific requirements to take this course. However, courses in the Health Care Technologies Programs are to be taken in order. The course list can be found on the information sheet for each program or by contacting Student Services.
