Course: Certified Nursing Assistant Classwork
Course Description
This course will prepare you to become a Certified Nursing Assistant, or CNA. In preparing you to be a CNA, this course focuses on how to perform tasks under the supervision of nursing and medical staff such as help patients eat, dress, and bathe; provide skin care to patients; take their temperatures, pulse rate, respiration rate, and blood pressure; and help patients get in and out of bed and walk. You will also learn how to keep patients’ rooms neat, set up equipment, store and move supplies, and assist with some procedures.
Certificate
Completion of this course certifies proficient CNA skills based on a score of 80% or higher on competency exams. A Certificate of Skill Competence is available upon request.
This course, in conjunction with a CNA Clinical, fulfills requirements for the TATC Certificate of Proficiency for the Certified Nursing Assistant program. Completion of the program will also prepare you to sit for the Utah Nursing Assistant Registry State exam
