Course: E-mail Client (MS Outlook)
Course Description
This course teaches the skills needed to use Microsoft Outlook 2003 and prepares students for Outlook 2003 Microsoft Certification. Outlook is an application that provides tools to send and receive e-mail, organize schedules and events, and maintain contacts lists, to-do lists, and notes. Information in Outlook can be integrated with other applications in the Microsoft Office suite. This course also covers the important goals of the Secretary’s Commission on Achieving Necessary Skills (SCANS), a joint commission form the Department of Education and Labor, which means that the information and exercises are relevant and representative of “real life” work. Each student is encouraged to take the certification test upon completion of the course. The MOS certification will allow you to show your future employers evidence of your recently developed skills, and may be a deciding factor when the hiring process takes place.
