Course: Math I

 

Course Description

This course offers an introduction to basic mathematics, including operations with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals, as well as proportions, averages and percentages. Students are prepared for more advanced mathematics.

 

Certificate

Completion of this course certifies proficient basic mathematic skills based on a score of 80% or higher on competency exams. A Certificate of Skill Competence is available upon request.

 

This course fulfills requirements for the following Programs:

     •   Business Administrative Support I

     •   Business Administrative Support II

     •   Computer Applications

     •   Front Office Support (elective)

     •   Information Technology - Networking (elective)

This is a competency-based course offered in open-entry/open-exit format.

There are no specific requirements to take this course. However, courses in the Business Technology Programs are to be taken in order. The course list can be found on the information sheet for each program or by contacting Student Services.
